Solved When will azure marketplace have a v18 install

We need to move a azure hosted 3cx instance to a new subscription (demo to live).

We normally do this via backup/restore. AS the only option for install is v16, we are greeted with you can't restore v18 on v16 (go figure )

do i have to create a dummy install with a dummy key, upgrade that, to v18, then upload my backup and restore...or is there a more supported. method?

Hi,

there is no estimated time when marketplaces will be updated yet (will be soon though).

You could create a new trial key, upgrade it to v18 and restore the backup of your demo 3CX System. Just make sure not to include FQDN and License Key details otherwise restore will fail. Upload your backup to an FTP, sFTP or google Bucket storage and connect this to the 3CX Management Console in the 'Backup and Restore' section.
Once connected, you can restore your existing v18 backup.
