Hello,

To comply with recent regulations, I need to provide detailed location information for each extension, should that extension dial 911. For example Room D215 or B107. Since neither 3CX nor my SIP provider already have knowledge of all the rooms in my building, there must be some place where I enter this data, either by manually typing it in or by uploading a CSV. I do not see such an option in 3CX, but maybe I'm missing it. If this needs to be done with the SIP provider, how would I go about that and how will the SIP provider know which extension is being dialed?

With our previous SIP provider, i would send them an Excel spreadsheet that would give them a list down to the office\room. and then send updates as needed.

With our new provider (we just switched last week), we switched it by going to just the building level. Such as B Building Main Level or A Building Lower level. We are still compliant by doing it this way, and is going to save us money as we have around 500 DID's.

Our new provider sent me a excel template that i filled out. All is listed is 18 numbers (that were unused DID's), the name of our college, physical address of location (address 1 and then what floor (Address 2). We have a few different locations. Then in 3cx, i created groups for each of those 18 numbers and placed all extensions located on a particular floor in those groups.

Then i created e911 outbound rules for each location based on those groups. Support helped me in setting up one of the rules, and then i did the rest.
