Windows 2012 R2 / 3CX V16

We have installed 3CX V16 on a VM Windows 2012 R2 for about 2 years. Since the last 3CX update came an email that Windows 2012 R2 is not supported!
At the moment, we don't have any planning for a 250$ software to buy a new server version for 600 dollars. The change to Win10 is also not desired because of the updates.
Are there any known issues when running 3CX V16 on a Windows 2012 R2 VM?

Why not a Debian free of charge?
Server 2012 is no more supported as it is now for 3CX V16 SP5 new prerequisite like new Push Service which requires HTTP/2. No IOS app will be able to work without, that's the why OS update is asked.
Debian or W10 are natively with this requirement.

- in this environment, monitoring and maintenance is Designed for Windows, Linux is only used on NAS or self-managing VM appliance

But I think in the future we will also use 3CX more on Linux. I have seen that there is a script regarding the phonebook problem (yealink and snome).

So what types of tools require it to be windows? how are they interfacing with 3CX? Perhaps they can be made to work on a debian 3cx server fairly easily?

Otherwise get a Windows 10 pro license oem online.

1. You will lose connectivity with iOS devices

2. We do not test unsupported OS versions so any other incompatibilities and issues that may arise are not documented.

That is a clear answer to my question, thank you.

The integration I can certainly do under Debian, just need to be rewritten (linking records to CRM system from the customer). But none of this is planned, even the cost of it ;-)
I just wonder I have overlooked that 2012 R2 will not support the first V16 version or is it since the last update? I'm pretty sure that 2012 R2 was supported, but I can also be wrong.

You did not overlook, it's a recent change to accomodate update 5 and HTTPS/2
