Hi

Whenever i setup a new PC and import the users config from the welcome email, it always fails unless i change the username and pasword after importin the web console and then update it in the accounts section under settings.

And then have to unblock it from the IP BlackList as its tried to login to many times.

This happens with all accounts. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Hi @pa_an_br,

Are you sending a new Welcome Email each time, or are you using the original Welcome Email? If you try to 'resend the Welcome Email' when setting up a new PC and extension, does the same thing happen?

Hi, I'm resending the welcome email.

Thanks

Hi @pa_an_br,

If you create a completely new extension, and send a welcome message, does the same thing happen?

Do you happen to be using some sort of password manager/generator on the same browse you access the Management Console? I'm asking because we've seen cases in the past where such a browser extension was used, resulting in extension passwords being automatically re-generated when the extension settings were being accessed.

Try creating a new extension again but access the Management Console in incognito mode(incognito but with no extensions enabled). Make sure the user's IP is not backlisted and send a new welcome email for that extension, do you get the same behavior?

Hi @ChrisC_3CX still the same in incognito. Should the system send out an email when you setup the user or only if requested?

Thanks

Hi @ChrisC_3CX still the same in incognito
Are you indeed using a Password Manager/Generator browser extension though? Or any other extension browser that might be interfering?

Should the system send out an email when you setup the user or only if requested?
If you have the following notification enabled under "Settings >> Email >> Notifications" then it will send it automatically upon extension setup:

Hi @ChrisC_3CX no password manager/generators. Also tried it in Firefox and still no joy.

Im using V18 Update 2 (314)

Thanks

I'll Pm you for a bit more info on this.

For anyone having the same issue, it was due to our local IP range being 7.0.0.X changed the Network interface for registration and provisioning to the domain name and it worked.

Thanks @ChrisC_3CX

Do let us know if you manage to get this working as expected when you get a chance to adjust the network configuration.

I'll be marking this thread as solved for now so please feel free to start a new one should anything else come up!
