Today I found in the TaskManager that the 3CS Assistant Server is using up to 55% CPU while it is sitting there and is doing nothing (no assistants logged on).
After a restart this stays the same.
I have installed the 8.0 version of the phonesystem to do some experiments at home.
It is running on Windows Home Server.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Marcel

Re: Assistant Server using much CPU

Well for sure Windows Home server is not a platform we run tests on, so its best to use a regular Windows

Which v8 version are you running? I noticed a big difference between an earlier v8 version (can't remember exactly which) and the current release. The CPU usage was so high on an earlier version that I had to stop the process (well I do run on a relatively lightweight hardware platform). Current v8 release is fine and CPU is back to almost 0%.

De exact version is 8.0.10116.83.
As far as I now the latest published version.

And WHS is just a Win2003 OS with some extras.
So in my opinion a regular OS.

Latest build is 8.0.10824 (29 Jan 2010), 10116 was 26 Nov 2009. It would be worth trying to update.
(though I am using XP Pro, not WHS)
