Windows softphone client supported in RDS environment?

Will the Windows softphone client work on Windows Remote Desktop Services (RDS) / Terminal Services on Windows server 2008 and Windows server 2012 R2?

We are not expecting to use the microphone/sound to work over the remote desktop sessions due to quality issues, but it would be useful if staff had the ability to change their presence via a softphone client, when they’re logged into the Remote Desktop Services.

Yes 3CXPhone works in TSE environment (but not the TAPI driver for CMS integration).
