If you can, try to use them in a wired environment as this will give the most stable connection, which is the least susceptible to interference, delays, or interruptions.
WiFi is only a better option if cables have no way of even being installed there.
If cables can be installed then you should consider WiFi to be an inferior option.
It's basically a choice between maximum reliability VS convenience of not having to deal with cables. In most cases and for most people, I would guess that reliability should come first.
