Wireless headset and web client

Has anyone managed to get their wireless headset working with the web client?
I have configured the general settings to use my Plantronics Savi 740. It does take the headset off hook when I dial, or answer the phone and the microphone of the headset is used, but the audio to me comes out of my speakers. I can't find a way to make the web client use my default communications device which is my headset. I can't change the headset to default device (which works) because everything on my computer then goes to my headset.

Hello @datamerge

You mean you want the webclient to use a different audio output than the rest of the browser? If that is the case then that is not possible as the webclient will use the same device for audio as the browser. You can select the microphone and camera through Google chrome but not the output device.

Ok I thought this might be the case, but the web client can't replace the windows app as an everyday client. This puts me in a situation where I have to use two programs to do the job of one as features move to the web app. What is the recommended way to deal with this? If I am using an office PC as a telephone I have to be able to have a separate headset.
