I have found an older thread suggesting to install wireshark on Debian which worked just fine. I also had no problems installing Xming on Windows 10. Once done, I created a config for Xming following the instructions from the older thread found here:

Now, when I click on the config file, it is asking me for my password and then I can briefly see the Xming icon in the notification area. But it closes within seconds and then nothing else happens (no wireshark window, no error message).
What am I missing?
