Wrong translation in Windows-App (German)

Hey,

there is a wrong translation in windows App. The button label for “Transfer call with consultation” is incorrect and should be replaced.


Current: "Teilnehmen"

Correct would be: "Anruf übergeben" or "Durchstellen" (perhaps something else that I don't think of)

Unfortunately the translation error has not been fixed with the last update (20.0.664.0), we are now hoping for the next update.

@PBX128 that button text 'Teilnehmen' should signify 'Join' which is what we use in the English localization.
Basically stating to join the 2 calls to perform the Attended transfer.

This is the text you are referring to, to change to "Anruf übergeben" or "Durchstellen"?

Yes, in german we dont say "teilnehmen". "Durchstellen" would be the correct translation.

In German, "join" has two main meanings:

• To become part of something -> like joining a group or event. -> beitreten, mitmachen, teilnehmen
• To connect or transfer -> like joining two pieces of wood or joining two phone calls.

In German, „teilnehmen“ implies actively joining an event or meeting, like joining a Zoom call.
But in the case of attended transfer, where one call is connected to another and the first person steps out, the correct German terms would be:

• „Durchstellen“ (most common in everyday use) or
• „Anruf übergeben“ (more technical/formal)

So yes, changing the button text from „Teilnehmen“ to „Durchstellen“ would be the correct option for German users.
