Solved X6U Firmware

So I am having an issue with firmware 2.4.12 pushing to a Fanvil X6U that has 11. I went in and deleted the firmware file thinking forcing an update would redownload it and it has not. Can I download the 3cx firmware file from the website and just rename it with the .z extension? How can I get the file back? Thanks.

You may have to upgrade the firmware manually https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/firmware-update-fanvil/

Hi Jeff,

When troubleshooting firmware issues, please avoid manually deleting files from your server.
It's best if you open a thread here and we will be happy to help you troubleshoot!

The best you can do is redownload the file from here and put it back exactly where you deleted it from.
You are not meant to rename it or unzip it, the file should be deployed as is.

So you currently have 2.4.11 and want to upgrade to 2.4.12 on X6U units?

Thanks. I was able to just drop the 3CX firmware file right where the other was and that fixed it. Yes, I was just needing to upgrade 11 to 12 on an X6U.
