Yealink BLF Buttons import/export

We will be redoing a 3CX system from scratch. Is there a viable method for exporting all the IP phone BLF buttom settings besides going into each phone and exporting the config file from there. We have 60 phones so I wanted to get any feedback before I do it the long way. Thank you in advance.

Assuming that the phone BLFs are currently set using 3CX; a full backup of the system will contain the relevant information for each extension.

If you look inside the backup zip file you will see that (at the top level) there is an XML file. This file contains the information you want.



The relevant entry for each extension is called SHARED_BLFS (Do a search for <Name>SHARED_BLFS</Name>).

The problem with this method is that the entry is a single line of text and you will need to spend time working out what each of the parts means.

Another method is to go in to the BLF settings for each extension and take a screenshot of them.

If anyone has an easier technique, please let me know.

If you export the config from the devices, it will be overwritten by 3CX when you reprovision them on the new installation so that wont be a good solution for you. The only option you have is to restore a 3CX backup if you want to keep them.

On the other hand, if you are building from scratch you will need to factory reset all 60 phones, and also provision them from scratch to ensure nothing breaks. When you are done and the phones are up, you can now select all the extensions that will have the same BLF, and multi-edit them so you can change their BLFs at the same time. Then you simply reprovision the phones and they will all receive their BLF config.
