What I discovered is Yealink only support 8 Line shortcuts (not 16) with 3cx and no more, or else it's unable to dial out from the Yealink phones at all from any shortcut. Use a 8 or less shortcuts and the phone can successfully dial out from 8 different numbers.

I factory defaulted the phone and re-provisioned it again. I then added one account and line at a time, testing each account one by one that it could dial out successfully and consistently got to the 9th account/line and then outbound calls would fail from every shortcut.

This is disappointing for me as I was lead to believe the phone could handle 16 shortcuts and purchased 2x Yealink T54W which so far have not delivered what was thought would work.

I'd be interested to hear of other experiences out there for this scenario and if there is something I've overlooked.

Thank you

Manoli

Hi Manoli,

We actually only support 1 account per device officially, and do not recommend to manually add more accounts.

If you wish to use more than that, you can of course, but the above scenario would be considered unsupported from a 3CX point of view at least.

In that case you might have to also visit the Yealink forums which are more specific to those devices regardless of what PBX/accounts are being used.

Thanks John that at least puts my mind at rest to know and understand this. I appreciate the fast reply and explanation.

All the best
Manoli

Glad to help!
