Yealink phone to call 911 only

Hi all, if I set an ext. to disable calling will that still allow 911 to work. I'd test it, but not wanting to dial 911 and make them made at me

You can do a test call to 911, just stay on the line, and explain that you are testing. Do not hang up before speaking to someone or you will have a police car at the door. You want to be sure it is going to work in the event of an emergency, testing is the only way to confirm that.

Do you know if that will work? disabling the line for external calls?

Has the emergency number been defined? Not (just) in the outbound rules. I would still want to test it, no matter what anyone told you will/should work.

no number has not been added to anything. Does it have too?

You can define any emergency number(s), then do not have to have an outbound rule. 3CX will also send an email upon use, if desired.
