Hi Guys

I need some help here.

Running Debian 3CX 18.07.312

My phones are showing up in Phones tab, when i add them to extension nothing happens? Have tried multiple reboots and adding again

Have 5 sites running the same config and no issues whatsoever, this is a new Pbx device i got from the supplier, they confirmed all is working.
Sip trunk and Apps work 100%, only the phones itself are not provisioning,
Running flat network, no vlans or anything fancy.

Anybody else with this issue?

They are yes.

but just found the problem, client is running on a 196.168.0.0 internal ip range the phones don't like that lol.
Changed to 192.168.0.0 and all is well now

Thanks!

if the phone's IP is not in the RFC-1918 defined ranges but defined as local lan, this is expected. 3CX will block access to the config file so the phone will not be able to download it and not provision. Showing up in the phones list is due to the multicast packets making it to the PBX.

I have actually seen public subnets used on LANs before. It “works” because NAT, but the PCs can’t connect to that actual IP space. In this case it might be a typo when they set it up and no one noticed. And occasionally other things don’t work as expected, as noted.
