Hi,
I am looking at 3CX to replace my legacy on-premise phone system and ISDN lines. However, I'm not sure if there is a way to replicate my users' familiar workflow...
As we currently have 6 fixed lines, every phone shows when a line is in use by another use (red), on hold (slow flashing red), ringing (fast flashing red), in use by that user (green).
Users are currently used to taking calls, putting them on hold, calling another extension and saying that the call is on line 1/2/3/4/5/6. The other user then presses the relevant line button on their phone to pick up the call.
Is there a way to replicate that workflow? Or does it have to be, answering user puts the call on hold, calls the other extension then either transfers or picks the call back up?
Another question regarding the number of lines a phone has - The yealinks seem to range from 1 line to many lines. How many are needed? Is the definition of lines the number of different SIP accounts that the phone can handle? Or the number of concurrent calls that the phone can handle? Does that include putting a call on hold, calling another extension and then transferring the call? Or if I only need a single SIP account on the phone, do I only need a single line phone and any hold / transfer functions will still work?
Thank you for any replies
