Hello all,

So I auto-provisioned this phone and as soon as it finished booting up it started making this odd high-pitched feedback type noise. Any guesses on the cause/fix?

Noise demonstrated here:

It sounds like you are having issues with your phone handset/receiver.
Replace the handset and try again.

I couldn't hear it on my work PC. I'll listen again with a headset when I get home. How is the phone powered? And if you factory reset it does the noise stop?

it's obviously an helicopter starting it's turbine inside ;), wait until out of kerosen, noise will stop:p

It is powered via POE.
I never had any noise until the phone was provisioned. I have tried changing firmware versions, which has not made any difference.

Really wondering if a setting somewhere could be causing this, or is it more likely a hardware problem.

Edit: I have also factory reset the phone numerous times, and the problem remains.

Do you have another (identical model) to provision, using the same settings? Or...swap provisioning with another, working set, to see if the issue stays with the set, or follows the provisioning.

Not sure it may help in your case but STUN is not a supported way on 3cx cloud instances, you need to use SBC only.

Hello all,
Thank you for your help. I installed a SBC on the network and provisioned the phone using the new method and everything works well with the phone now, no strange noises.
