We have several Yealink T23G's which are bootlooping when they get an address that our SBC is on which we need. Other models are not doing this ie t19p, t22p, t26p when they are on this VLAN.

Our version of 3CX is 15.5.13103.5
I suspect it could be an issue caused by a mismatch in firmware provisioned by the common.cfg and mac.cfg
as stated in the following article from Yealink, I am unable to access the these .cfg files as it is cloud hosted.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with the T23G's?

Hello @MarkLB

Does this happen when the phones try to provision through the SBC? What firmware are the phones running?

Hi Yiannis,

I don't think it is when they are being provisioned through the SBC, it seems that as soon as I get them on our VLAN 1 which the SBC is running and they get an IP on that range (DHCP or Static) they go into the bootlooping sequence, before each reboot it says "Sending requests.

The phones are running 44.83.0.20.

What happens if you plug the phones into a different Vlan? Does that work? Are the phones factory reset?

I have seen this only on the Yealink T41P phones (not the T42G or better) where the firmware is very old v73 I think and it was trying to update to v81 which was on the pbx.

I had to factory reset the phone and manually upgrade to v80 and then it could go to v81 or higher no trouble.

Since the T23 phone is similar to T41 perhaps that is the issue you are having?

Hi Yiannis,

When the t23g's are on a different VLAN they do not go into the bootloop sequence.
I've tried factory resetting the phones then putting them on the VLAN with the SBC and they start bootlooping again.

Hi CentrexJ,

Thanks for your suggestion, the phones are running the latest 3cx approved firmware for the T23G's which is 44.83.0.20. I really think it might be caused by a mismatch of firmawares is the common.cfg and mac.cfg but dont have or know how to access these files to check.

Hi YiannisH_3CX,

Just wondering if you have any more suggestions for this issue?
We still can't get our new T23G's to stop bootlooping when they are on the same Vlan as the SBC to our cloud hosted 3cx.

Try turning the SBC off in that Vlan and check if the phones keep bootlooping. If they do then it either sounds like a phone issue or a network issue.
