We just ordered two more Yealink T29G's to add to our existing fleet, and they arrived with firmware 46.83.0.70.

All of our other phones are on FW 46.83.0.60, which appears to the most recent version 3CX v16 R2 (Enterprise 16.0.2.910) supports.

Aside from the warning on the phone's listing in the 3CX admin screens, any known issues with running a newer firmware than 3CX supports? Or any idea when 3CX will support this new release?

(These two phones were destined for the President and VP of our company, so I'm leery of giving them potentially wonky devices)

Thanks,

Dion

I may have just answered my own question.

I selected one of the new phones, chose "Firmware", and the system prompted me to "upgrade", so I did. Now it's running on 46.83.0.60.

If you have no problems with phone use, this is only 3cx unsupported case, but for now as you explained phones downgraded to supported release there 's no more question ;)

Hi Dion,

Good call - this is what I would recommend to do. Just make sure you factory reset and reprovision after the firmware downgrade, to ensure all the parameters are as expected.
