Yealink T46U - Slow to handle call need to reboot weekly

Hi all,

I had a reply from Yealink support. See below.

Thank you,

Malcolm

Hi Team

This is Andy from Yealink technical support team.

We did receive similar issue recently, which will cause a delay in a short time after a call.

Our team had fixed that in latest V87 firmware and send to 3CX to certificate. Which should be finished before Q2 as we think. So it will get solved after 3CX push the firmware upgrade.

If you are using a local 3CX and need to solve this issue now, you can check the new firmware I upload. Please do notice it cannot downgrade back to V86. You can use this to verify if issue was solved.

Or you can try to do following if you don't want to make upgrade for now:
  1. Reset the phone.
  2. After that , import this parameter: voice.rtcp_xr.enable=1
  3. See if it helps.
Best Regards

Andy

@Fortress IT thanks for the response! My ticket didn't have that level of update in it.

@JohnS_3CX we have a ticket open with Yealink, funny they are referring us back to this forum post. I guess maybe we tag some of the other support people in this post?

@YiannisH_3CX @NicholasP_3CX @ChrisC_3CX @TheodorosG_3CX

Please, someone get with Yealink and we can all give ticket numbers. Or maybe work to certify the new firmware that they referenced in the post above? Just between three people on this post we have over 400 phones seeing these issue. I can't imagine there aren't others.

We now restart all the phones every morning before the clients get in. If the Yealink firmware from Yealink fixes the problem,
Then why does 3cx not adopt this version to solve the problem.

3CX PEOPLE, PLEASE GET ON THIS ASAP AS ITS A BIG PROBLEM.

Hi all,

The new V87 firmware will be released on 3CX only when ready and not a moment sooner.

At the moment there are still pending matters to be resolved before its released, so if you want it earlier you can always get it directly from the manufacturer and install it at your own discretion as an unsupported firmware upgrade. Careful though, you can no longer downgrade back to V86 once its done.

Hi @JohnS_3CX

Not a great response for clients that have been having this issue since July last year. We have had this problem for over 7 months now since V20 was pushed on us. We followed everything our provider advised us to try fix these issues, since V20, including buying hardware etc. You only have to ask why v20 wasn't tested like this with Yealink phones. Especially when we had none of these issues on V18. Extremely frustrating.

Does the yealink web site version support router phone feature?

Has someone upgraded the firmware manually to v87 that can let us know if there is any issue with it? We have a customer with 60 t46u that is on our neck to fix the problem.

Disregard my question was already asked.

Bonjour meme problème résolu en downgradant en version 108.86.0.77 mais bon...

Thank you for creating this post, we have been experiencing the call slowness issue on Yealink T46U phones on our high volume extensions. We recently started using the 108.87.0.15 firmware provided by Yealink about two weeks ago and have had much better performance so far.

Same issues! Version 20.0 Update 5 (Build 551 Release) -- Yealink T48U 108.86.0.93

Same issues! Version 20.0 Update 5 (Build 551 Release) -- Yealink T48U 108.86.0.93. Yes it seems to be the high volume phone users.

I've had this issue with a few reception phones (t43u) that we manage with them getting slow again after a fortnight or so. Installing the 108.86.0.90 firmware seemed to fix the issue for a while (around 6 weeks).

@SNagySMH has the v87 firmware still been reliable in keeping the phone from slowing down?
