I am just trialing 3CX on the startup option before looking to purchase. We have bought a few Yealink phones T46U and T42U. However there doesn't appear to be any phonebook showing all the internal extensions/hunt groups (such as IT Support). You don't get any way to find a person or number unless they have previously called you and are in the history - if that is cleared you just have to know their number (typing a number doesn't even bring up their name).

If I go into directory and choose either local or remote they are blank. If I look at the phonebook xml file it is empty it just has (<XXXIPPhoneDirectory/> as a header) read from https://nnnn.3cx.cloud/provisioning/################/yealink_phonebook.xml. I'm sure it is something easy, like a setting to add all users and groups to the phone book, but I can't find it?

I tried putting a separate contact in the "contacts" section on the web interface but that doesn't appear in the phonebooks either?

On the phone I have tried the 3CX PBook button... Update ... Search (or Enter). I've also tried Menu...Directory...and then Local Directory and Remote Phone Book. None give any entries. I have also tried the diall with extension numbers and using letters to search.

Firmware on the phones is latest (108.86.0.72)

Hi @D_L,

Please be informed that there is no company phonebook with 3CX StartUP.
You can only have personal contacts, which can only viewed from the Web Client, Desktop App or mobile app.

The same applies for the other extensions as well, which can only be viewed from the 'Team' section of the abovementioned clients.

So the only way to know the number to call someone is to print out a list of names and extensions and keep re-printing it every time it changes?

Will the internal extensions on the Yealink phones appear if we have a non-startup licence?

Yes you will have to export every time.

And yes, with a dedicated system, even if hosted, you would get the phonebook on both apps and deskphones.
