This device is in the EOL list so it will no longer appear for provisioning.

thanks for the response, checked out that link, also tried the manual provisioning guide, but it did not work,

are t52s going to be useless? we can't tell that to our clients who use heaps of them

Hi Ron,

The T52S is a device that has reached the EOL (end of life) stage according to the manufacturer, Yealink.
This means they are no longer actively developing or releasing firmware for it (which now prevents it from securely auto-provisioning on 3CX due to lack of modern TLS ciphers).

It's not useless though, you can still use it if you provision it manually and it should be able to register and make calls.

I'm afraid that since the manufacturer is no longer providing new firmware, these models will not be supported any further by 3CX either, and for anyone planning on keeping these phones for a few more years, it will be entirely up to them to troubleshoot/maintain them manually for as long as they deem it feasible.

but I tried the manual provisioning guide, and it did not work. what are other options do we have to provision the ip phone?

Hi Ron,

Where are the phones in relation to the server? All on the same LAN or remote?

T52s, all in the same LAN

Check ip blacklist. Likely blacklisted.

If you factory reset a phone, does it appear as "New" in the Phones tab?

phones tab - in the 3cx portal? not sure, as when i factory reset a phone, i delete the existing added phone provisioning in the extension then readd it. i dont see any labels that says new.

Hmm that does not sound right to me.. are you sure then that the 3CX machine and the phones are on the same LAN / subnet and can communicate with each other? Sounds like you have some networking issues at the very least that I can speculate.

In this case, your only remaining option is to check the traffic on Wireshark and learn exactly why the phone is not registering.

I will not be able to assist you with that, but you may find this useful:

yes very certain that they are in the same LAN. it is a working phone before. i had to reassign it to another user hence i needed to reset it to factory settings. if there are networking issues then i wont be able to provision a t48s in the same network.
