Yealink T54W ? status light

I have a T54W on on firmware 96.86.0.23. PBX is cloud hosted on OVH version 16.0.8.9. Phones are registered via SBC running on a Pi. The last two mornings this phone has had this status and just gets a busy tone when you pick it up. Factory reset and reassigning of the phone causes it to work again. I checked the status of the extension, shows available and loggedIn. I haven't been able to find this icon in the Yealink manual either. Wondering if anyone has come across this or can tell me what the indicator means?

Hi Nicholas,

That icon appears when the user enters the Features menu and enables "Anonymous" calling.

As for the fact that the phone appears to reject calls, you should first ensure that this is the case via the 3CX logs (ie. call reaches the device, but the device might reply 486 BUSY or some other 4xx code)

I suspect that the user not only changed the "Anonymous", but may have also made other changes that can lead to calls being rejected such as but not limited to:

- Adding numbers to the phone's blacklist
- Anonymous Call Rejection is enabled
- DND Enabled


Rather obviously once you reset and reprovision the phone, those local settings are all lost and it goes back to working as normal.
