Aloha!

This is a bit of an odd one, as I've never seen a phone display similar behavior.

After provisioning behind an SBC (which auto-detects it without issue), the phone will come online, and calling works perfectly.

The admin password as listed in 3CX - Phone Web Page Password - works perfectly for roughly the first 24 hours.

After that period, the password no longer works, nor do any other standard default logins. The phone will then begin to regularly prompt for a "lock PIN" to place or answer any calls, which is '123'.

This client site does not utilize lock pin codes of any type.

I've formatted the internal SD card, and reset the unit multiple times via the redial hold method.

Firmware is the latest listed by 3CX - 58.86.0.39

When the unit is online, I've looked for any other accounts or provisioning information, which could be downloading this from an outside source - nothing jumps out at me.

Anyone run into this or similar?

Thanks, -Ian

Hi Ian

I have no suggestions for you but note this behavior is typical if your phone is being remotely provisioned by some other 3rd party system.

Previous cases where this has happened were customers that bought used phones and the previous owner did not remove them from their remote provisioning service, or phones bought from a provider that has custom settings/firmware/provisioning.

To post a resolution on this one, after a few factory resets and tinkering, it became a better solution to return this unit and order another.

Thanks for the assitance. -Ian
