Hi All,

I have recently purchased a new phone off the internet a yealink T58A and have configured it succesfully within 3cx. The phone is an upgrade from the T38 so i thought i would treat myself.

Everything appears to be working fine i can configure the phone from the 3cx console, publish BLF lamp fields etc. all good receive calls as well!

However... When i make an outbound call it simply sits there and does nothing.. I have about 5 other SIP phones on the same network, all with the same configuration and they work fine, nothing has changed, accept the recent upgrade of the phone. All phones on the same subnet nothing overly complicated. Most of the phones are yealink T21P this is the first 58A i have played with.

I have flashed it with the new firmware from the 3cx website, and even tried downgrading it, and have the same issue persists! this is the rom T5XA-58.85.0.5.rom

I have done a TCPdump on the router i am using and i can see the packets are getting there, the 3cx server does nothing...

I have tried changing the IP from dhcp to static. Nothing either. Even desperately rebooted the 3cx server.

Help would be appreciated.

Hi thanks for your response. I have done that. Same result!

Makes zero sense to me. I have 5 other phones mainly t21p they all work fine.
New and modern phone don’t. It has to be the phone. All I have done is replace it from a t38

Start packet capture before you try outbound call and after that open it with wireshark and share with us

ok from a working phone this is what i get.. dialling 700 which is the conference number

ok so i modified the SIP server rather than a private address of 10.255.254.4. I input the public ip and its working going out over the internet, which issnt ideal. Why would it not work over private, and my other phones work? Makes ZERO sense...

Hi Sorted this issue out, having a play! nothing to do with my networking setup or GRE or anything like that.
By default this phone in the webUI under settings>>Video>>Video active
The default is "Video First"
I simply changed this to disable
I know it would be setting! Now i know im not crazy!
Thanks to everyone who replied! I do appreciate it!
