Hi All,

I am having some issues with provisioning a Yealink T58A.

When the phone comes up on the phones list in 3cx i click on assign ext and after that it doesn't do anything.

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards
Leigh

Hello Chris,

Here are the details

3CX Version, e.g. Pro Annual 16.0.8.9
Server OS, Windows 2019
Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On Premise
IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware - Yealink T58A - 58.85.0.5
Provisioning Method: Local / VPN / STUN / SBC - Local
Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model - N/A At Present
Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

I haven't tried the manual way as we have a lot of phones to provision

Just to clarify, when clicking on "Assign" extension, and after selecting an extension, does it take you to that extension's "Phone Provisioning" tab? Is it when you click OK in that tab when nothing happens?

If yes, delete the IP Phone entry completely from the "Phone Provisioning" tab and try assigning the extension again. Make sure that, before clicking OK, the phone provisioning method selected is "Local" and that the "Interface" has the PBX's Local IP selected.

If this still fails, try the manual link provisioning method for one device so that we can narrow down the issue.

I have also attached the phone log here

Has the T58A been factory reset between the attempts?

Ok further to the above it works if i select the external FQDN and the Provisioning method as Direct SIP (Stun - Remote)

Note the above phone is located in the local LAN

If still get the issue after resetting the device try the following:

Plug a PC into the IP Phone's PC Port and then try downloading the device's config file from a browser. To do this, go into the extensions phone provisioning tab, copy the provisioning link, and at the end append the device's MAC address along with a .cfg

You should end up with something like: http://192.168.1.10:5000/provisioning/wplskfjgasd/MAC_ADDRESS.cfg

Can you download the file?

I jsut get Refused to connect.

But strange how it works if it goes via external FQDN and the Provisioning method as Direct SIP (Stun - Remote) even though the phone is local

Well in that case you will have to investigate further on the network level and make sure that local routing between your IP Phones and the 3CX PBX is possible.

If you do not have a 3CX Partner already, you might want to consider contacting one to get additional help on this or anything else 3CX related: https://www.3cx.com/ordering/find-reseller/
