Hi,

I have two installations where I am using a Fanvil X5U Router phone with Yealink W70B DECT. Whenever there is an internet/power outage, all other devices come online accept the Yealink DECT. Is there a setting I am missing that will allow it to keep trying to register?

Fanvil X5U-V2 v2.12.16.22
Yealink DECT W70B v146.85.0.40 (with W56H)

Thanks,
Alexander

Hi Alexander,

This can depend on some factors we do not control:

  • Exponential Backoff: The phone will initially try to register frequently, but gradually increase the intervals between attempts if unsuccessful.
  • Limited Retries: Some firmware versions may have a maximum number of retry attempts before giving up temporarily.
  • SBC IP Changed: If after the outage the IP of the X5 changes, the Yealink will not become aware of this until it is rebooted and it re-downloads the config file which contains the new SBC IP.

Thanks JohnS

I can see it being SBC IP Change.

They are both at sites I do not control. Will work on getting a static IP for the X5.

Thanks!

If you can set DHCP reservation you should be OK, and will avoid any other devices picking up the X5's address.
