Hi,

We have a site with a W80DM and an additional base. After a power cut, the DECT phones won't work, they won't sync to the base. The W80DM lights are on but doesn't work. you have to unplug and then plug the POE ethernet cable back into the manger and all is then good in the world. The base never needs restarting. At our other three sites which use the same components, if there is a power cut the W80DM's repower up and don't need restarting to sync the phones, it all just works. What am I missing?

Any help appreciated

Hi,

On the surface this should not be a problem, but we don't know what's going on with that specific DM on that specific network and PoE environment. Maybe you can swap DMs across two sites and see if the issue is with the site or the device itself.

Firstly ensure the firmware is up to date https://www.yealink.com/en/solution-detail/resource-for-3cx

Careful what firmware you flash on the base and DM, they do NOT share the same firmware and it could be a costly mistake to install the wrong one on the W80 series specifically.

With that out of the way, see if you can ensure the DM comes up first, and the bases come up second. Beyond that, you will have to hit up Yealink support for direct troubleshooting, as it could simply be faulty hardware or something else beyond our scope.

ok. Brand new DM and Base. Both installed together and have the latest firmware. Can't swap devices between sites.

I think they also have a power barrel plug if you want to bypass PoE as a test.

Beyond that, you will need to contact Yealink support.
