Zoho - How often is the 3CX contact list updated ?

Hi all -

I made a test today..
I had an entry setup in Zoho (Contacts), and when I called in 3CX from the correct number I saw the little CRM icon. That worked when I clicked on it. After that, I deleted the entry from Zoho. No matter what I do, the CRM icon still appears next to the contact name in 3CX. When I click on it it brings me to a non working page, of course. How do I update 3CX so it knows not to offer the CRM icon when a contact is not in Zoho anymore ?

You need to go to the 3CX Console > Contacts, and delete the contact from there. Contacts are added when they call in, but they're not removed from 3CX Contacts, even if you delete them from the CRM. If you update the contact in Zoho, it will be synchronized in the next call. But not removed.

So if I understand correctly:
during incoming calls:
If a contact is in Zoho, and call 3cx (who does not have the contact), it will be added in the global company phone book.
if a contact is not in zoho, but is in 3cx, it won't be added in zoho.

if a contact is deleted from 3cx, it will still show in zoho
if a contact is deleted from zoho, it will still show in 3cx

Yes, exactly, that's how it works at the moment.

On top of this, in v16 we're adding a new feature: Contact Creation. When you enable this, and a contact calls in and it's not in 3CX or Zoho, then 3CX will create the contact in Zoho and also add it to 3CX.

The alpha should be released shortly... But you will need to wait a bit for the final release, around the end of the year, or beginning of 2019.

The new functionality is available in the 3CX v16 alpha. Please note that this is not a stable release for production environments, so consider testing this on an alpha build, but be very careful with productive systems.

thx for your reply. ok then it is better to wait untill you publish the release. will this be soon? i realy would like to use the zoho crm Integration and the call journal function.

The beta is coming next, and then maybe an additional month until the final version is released, expect it by January...
