Our client uses Zoom Rooms which have a Crestron Device as their speaker phone. That device supports SIP Integration to our PBX for making and receiving calls.
I have been able to successfully enter the information required to connect that device to our 3CX Instance. When I first did it, I thought all was working great as I was able to make calls from this device and receive calls as well. When I tried the same with a new extension I found that I could make calls fine but was not able to answer them. Calls rung to that extension went straight to voicemail. It was then I realized the difference between the two extensions. The first had a physical phone attached to it where as the second did not. It would appear that when there is not a real phone (physical or PC soft phone) registered and active, 3CX does not realize there is anything listening and re-routes to Voicemail.
How can I "let 3CX know" that I do indeed have a device attached so it will send the call out? Or am I WAY off based and the issue is something else entirely?
Thanks!
Scott
