I hope 3CX will quickly integrate the T88W (perhaps in the final Update 8), as Yealink stopped producing the T58W last December and the T88W is its replacement.

Not sure if it was a typo, but:

Putting a different model's firmware on the phone is, in general, a bad idea; the phone should reject it, but my feeling is that it is asking for trouble, possibly a bricked phone.

If you meant provisioning it with a different model's template, that's different; still many unknowns, and I wouldn't recommend it, but at least you're not trying to brick the phone

Just adding some feedback here.

In the last week, we have been asked three times for this phone on 3CX. I can see why, its a great executive phone. Hope we can see it added soon!

I used provisioning T58V with T88V Pro and it works! - T58W Pro is almost EOL, we had a problem with T58W Pro Handset (there is no handset in oficial market).
With firmware I'll wait ;-)

I contacted Yealink about this, and they have responded saying:

3CX has confirmed that they will no longer certify new Android-based models, therefore the T88W will not be able to obtain 3CX certification.

Is anyone at 3CX able to confirm whether this is correct? We're getting lots of requests for this phone and it's a shame if this is true.

We’ve recently been receiving requests for the Yealink T88W Pro from our customers, but were disappointed to find that the phone isn’t supported by 3CX.

I decided to reach out to Yealink about when we should expect the phones to be supported by 3CX.

An agent from Yealink came back to me with the following:

3CX has confirmed that they will no longer certify new Android-based models, therefore the T88W will not be able to obtain 3CX certification.

I just wanted to check whether this is accurate, as it seems bizarre that the phone would not be supported. Especially given it's one of...

Hello, I tried this also but ran into the same issue. I think that we need 3CX firmware in order to get it to work.

It works almost perfect with as T58 - but You are absolutely right - 3CX should prepare firmwere!

Same for us.
The Yealink T88W Pro phone, which has a Bluetooth cordless handset, hasn't been validated by 3CX.
Since Yealink stopped selling their Yealink T58W Pro phone, we're stuck.
Do you have any projections for when this phone will be validated?
