I think you've got confused somewhere - 3CX's SBC is not the same SBC that was suggested to use by Patrickb.Wait a minute. I currently have a Debian 3CX SBC and only the landlines go through the SBC. The PC and Mac applications and smartphones register directly on the 3CX switchboard.
Patrick is suggesting you use a 3rd party SBC offering to register as a trunk in your 3CX to route your traffic through. The 3rd party SBC will firewall where you can call to whilst all other 3CX services remain unaffected.
