So many people, including me, get confused about your tech support polocy.
If I were to see these words and have them burned into my brain better, (Community-led, no tech support) it would have helped me and many others http://www.3cx.com/forums/3cx-assistant-won-t-log-in-9687.html#p56276 if you had that part in RED.
I am not sure why I, nor others, do not get that but it would help people understand better.
You guys are busy and doing your best, but if the client wants indiviual help for a product that they are most likely not paying for, then they need to pay you for your time.
On a long term sales view, this may not be best, but to get instant money for time spent helping and developing, you have chosen this path.
So be it, its your choice but to have it in red would have helped me "get it".
I honestly did not read that and understand it until today! LOL
You guys did a GREAT job intergrating the Plantronics BT USB and BT headset so we can answer and hang up with the headset. (I still wish more people would understand how cool that is)
Anyways, about 3.1.8751.0...
We have the server offsite on a 10 meg fiber connection.
DSL at the office.
At the office, we are still experiancing bad call quality on the other side.. (IE, the person we called or the person that is calling us, can not hear us well)..
This only happeneds if we have the Tunnel ON.
If we have the Tunnel off, it is much better.
We are also still experiancing about 30% lost calls with the Tunnel OFF.
So what we end up doing is leaving one phone on Tunnel and one on Non Tunnel.
The Tunnel one we set to ring to an external set of speakers.
If our softphone was not ringing nor our Plantronics BT earpeice, but we heard the external speakers going off.... Then we would pick up the extra BT headset and answer the call through that. If they complaine they can not hear us well, then we call them back on the non tunnel line.
My wife and I work from home a lot. I have a 12 meg DL and 1.5 meg upload Comcast Cable connection. We have the same experience at home as the office ADSL.
Now, I have not tested this next part, but I could if you want me too.. I also have a SPRINT wireless USB modem.
I can test that. With and without Tunnel to see if it has to do with my Office routers..
You see, at the office and at home, I have Windows 2003 servers acting as a router.
Routing and Remote Access on Windows 2003 has proven itself MUCH faster in all my tests than any router I have tested.. (The hi end Cisco stuff I am sure is better, but any store bought router is much slower and weaker and does not handle multiple connections well)
So, I could test it on my laptop with a Direct internet connection and only the Vista built in firewall.
My VOIP server is also set up as a router...
If I am the ONLY one experinacing 20-30% lost calls when not using the tunnel, I would like to know.
BTW, GREAT JOB ON THE LAST SERVER UPDATE.
The 1-2 second lag in the back and forth conversation IS GONE.. Its as good as a copper line now!!!
