Hello!
Tell me, who did the migration of the physical 3cx 12.5 server into the virtual environment?
I have migrated my server, but after starting 3cx in the web panel, 3cx asks for activation, but it does not go through the same key. (I suppose I just can't reactivate 12.5v) only the latest versions ??

I also made a backup with further recovery on a virtual machine, but the recovery ends with an error.

I know that you can upgrade (I already did a test upgrade from 12.5 to version 16 (trial)
but funding has not yet been allocated for the upgrade of the license, I wanted to stay at 12.5, but transfer 3cx to the VM

Tell me, will the option with installing from scratch, and then deploying a 3cx backup help in this situation?

You can use V16 Free https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/ as long as you don't need Pro / ENT Otherwise V12 licensing will no longer work
Ie, I just can't transfer 12.5 to the virtual environment, because activation is required, and 12.5 is ALREADY impossible to activate?
I need my edition 3sx (Standard) for 32 simultaneous calls

I suppose there is an option with Trade-in, get the same edition in the latest version, for a year ..

Hi @mserg

Unfortunately that version is too old, and it can no longer talk to the activation server.

We sent out a reminder to all our customers with older versions that you must upgrade to version 16 Update 5 by the 15th of September 2020.

You might want to revise your older license (versus our current Standard edition) since now this may be allowed up to 8 simultaneous calls (plus all the other goodies that V16 offers) without additional cost.

Your test server that you build should give you the chance to check if all the features you want are already there and decide how to proceed since V12 cannot be activated.

your 12.5 was perpetual STD 32SC ?

that is, I can upgrade to 16v standard for free, but already with 8 sim calls?

but if I install 12.5 on a new virtual server, and upload a 3cx backup, will it work? or will reactivation also need?

As there is no solution with 12.5, do you absolutely need to migrate now or it can stay like you are a while more until you can buy a new licence?

which windows do you use for PBX ? is it W7 ?

es, I just wanted to migrate my 3cx from a physical server (it occupies a powerful server that I would like to use for other purposes)
I wanted to stay at 12.5 for now (the upgrade is not financially agreed upon)

1) eot migration disk2vhd (activation 12.5 is required, which is impossible)
Option 2 is creating a VM, installing 12.5, and restoring a 3sx backup (from a physical server)
here is the 2nd option, is it real? or will reactivation also need?

If I recall installing from scratch will require activation, however it's been a long time and I may be incorrect.

for now i can't see an escape lane with 12.5, so just keep it as it is until you have some other options.

if you register with new email to get a new 3CX annual v16 STD key, a 32sc free for the first year, could this be a solution?
