3CX Active Directory

After researching a few articles about importing users from Active Directory, a few seem very outdated. When I click on Extensions > Import all I see is Import CSV and Import Office 365. We have Enterprise. Currently I am looking into AD or O365 syncing for users. It would be easier for us with AD integration as O365 shows it would sync new users and create a new extension for them. I was curious if this would auto select an extension or would I have to go in and insert an extension and change whichever it auto selects. In AD it seemed I could put the extension in that I would want which would be easier to keep up with when users change phone extensions. The AD guides show more what the integration would do rather than a step by step guide. The one I found was from 2011; https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/import-active-directory/ November 23rd, 2011. I recall a thread about this recently in the IDEAS forum - asking if there was a way to set starting extension for this - or ignore this range, etc. Not sure this is directly what you are inquiring but seems close.

I see, seems if the O365 is going to sync with just a normal extension I would have to go into 3CX and change the extension which almost defeats the purpose as then the only thing really being synced is first name, last name, email address. Is there any step by step guide for doing the active directory sync. I've looked for videos and articles and none really show how to go into AD and change settings to link it to the 3cx portal
