When for the phonebook ? Why it not be possible pour MoH ? It's just coding, and 1 MoH for a multi-tenant is not relevent !
If you give them every feature in a multi-tenant, there’s no incentive for them to upgrade. There needs to be differentiating benefits between plans to encourage users to upgrade.

If anyone needs their own music on hold, then they will need to go for a dedicated instance. The Music on Hold for a multitenant will need to be decided by you as what to have as a global music on hold.
Thank for the answer. It was important to me to know if it will be possible or not in the future, in order to choose on low capacity customers if we go with "multi-tenant" with 3CX or not.

We cannot provide that answer right now. Anything is possible in the future. But for now, we can say that no it is not coming.

Yes, but imagine if the price of 4AS or 8AS increase, or worse the 4AS and 8AS are deleted, so you have only multi-tenant offer with her limitations, so you have to think about 16 AS for this customer who has no need of 16 AS :D
But that's just imagination.

I don't think you can write off our whole multi tenant platform just because it doesn't have personalized music on hold per tenant. But if you want to, then do so absolutely and look for another platform for your smaller customers.

Yes, but we would prefer not to have to.

Hello,
I have a legal question that comes to mind regarding music on hold. In France, there are copyright organizations that can request a license for music used on the PBX. in a standard case the music license is linked to the pbx whose owner is the end customer. In the case of MT, the end customer is the 3CX partner, so how can we justify to a copyright organization that the "lambda" customer of an MT department has the legal right to use the global music on hold. Even if the music is royalty-free, how can the use be justified for MT customers?

Do you have any procedures for this to avoid possible penalties and fees in the event of a check with copyright companies?
Thank you for your analysis and advice.

We do provide this information, and our music on hold can be used for this reason without restriction.

I have to agree with the notion that having a shared music on hold probably should not be a huge issue for most small customers. After all, customers likely spend most of their time holding in queues, or placed in park, and you can control the hold music there.

Perhaps this is more of a training issue (park vs hold) than a technical issue. Of all the things 3CX could be spending time and resources on, this is in my view a very low priority. If a customer really insists on having their personalized on-hold music, then put them on a dedicated instance and let 3CX focus on other more important new features.

I signed up, and then realized the time difference. It would be a 4:00 am webinar.
Can this be traded out for one of the later time slots?

Question on the phonebooks, I know phonebooks per department are not in yet.
Looking at a mulitenant setup, I wonder if you will be able to link Dect/FXS to a department as well just like siptrunks.

Otherwise you can add any user to the dect setup, and the phonebooks will be shared over all departments for the dect users.

Thanks for the set of features in the Departments!
But I can't find feature request... May be it's possible?
"A user can have different roles in different Departments"

If I'm understanding what you're asking, the different departments in MultiTenant are actually different companies, so you couldn't have the same user in different departments. Or if you did, they'd be seen as different people.

I think you'd have to go to single-instance.

If you're actually asking this about different departments in single-instance, I think you'd find that the user would carry the same role from department to department. I'm not sure about that, though.

Hm.. i have single-instance right now, upgraded to v20.. and must to use Department functionality, but i have a same problem.
I have a user who has Manager role (we are remember that user may have only one role) but included in several departments.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.

I actually just played with this a little, looks to me like you set the role as the user and there isn't any provision for changing the role in different departments.
