Ok where to start.
I have been installing 3CX for clients for 8 months and it has been a pleasant ride so far. However something is super annoying and I can't seem to get to the bottom of it.
I have a MacbookPro, Mojave and 3CX app installed. If I connect to a 3CX PBX on a local network with a extension and try to make calls from my laptop, as soon as I make a call via the 3CX app, the app becomes unresponsive and will time out after a good 20 seconds. However, if I connect to a 3CX instance outside the network, (being it a VPN tunnel, direct connection to a public IP or whatever), the app WILL work. To make things even funnier: If I setup a bridge between the remote PBX (Public IP, Ports forwarded etc) via a bridge to the local PBX and make outbound rules (for example "numbers start with 5"); the call gets routed from the remote PBX over the internet, via the bridge to the local PBX and I can use the app without any problems.
I have this problems with all clients. We are using UniFi security gateways / APs.
Wireshark does not give any SIP info once connected with the local server, but when connected to the remote PBX it works like a breeze.
As you understand this is highly annoying because demoing on my laptop (locally) is not possible.
I reinstalled my laptop with a fresh version of OSX, I uninstalled the 3CX app, removed all data etc. Nothing seems to work. However on different machines it's working which makes me believe its my laptop... But where is the problem?
