Hi all

I have a strange behaviour on the iOS app since i've installed the 3cx approx. 2 yeas ago. I'm on version 18.0 build 312.

1. I connect my user to the 3cx app on my iOS device by using the QR-code.
2. I can call out and can receive calls, everything normal so far.
3. After a unknow amount of time, i can not call out anymore.
3a. The error i get on the iOS app on the top right of the corner is "Forbidden".
3b. The logfile on the 3cx server says:

Code:

4. If this happen, i still can receive calls without any issue.
5. I have another account on my iOS device for another 3cx appliance.
5a. I can switch the account to the other account of the 3cx appliance and switch back to the account with the issue, or
5b. I can remove the account and re-add it by using the QR-code, then...
6. ...everything is back normal and please go back to 2. The same procedure/issue repeats in a loop.

Sidenote:
- A phone connected to the same number via SIP is working without any issue all the time.
- It doesn't matter if i'm inside the network (same segment as the 3cx) or if i'm connected via mobile 4G/5G connection.

Did somebody saw this issue in the past? Somebody knowing what the issue could be? Any ideas?

Have a good evening,

Regards
Tom

Although this might require further investigation, however this happens when you try to make a call from the call history or if you dial a number?
Have you ensured that this is not an outbound rule issue?

Hi Theodoros/Charles,

Thanks for your reply.

It doesn't matter if i just call a number or if i use a number from the phonebook, or if i call a number from the history.. etc.

Not sure what i should explicitly check, i mean, i just can log off and log on again with my account and everything is back to normal.

Tom

The Forbidden error can be generated if for example there is no valid outbound rule but also can happen if currently there is a disconnection of the app.
Since you described that you actually re-register and is working this can be the case but i cannot confirm as this requires further investigation. I would suggest that you create a ticket to the Support Team and proceed from there.

Hi Theodoros/Charles,

Thanks for your reply.

> (..) there is no valid outbound rule

We can exclude that.

> also can happen if currently there is a disconnection of the app.

I would say the same, but i'm confused why inbound calls ring on the app (?)

> I would suggest that you create a ticket to the Support Team

I think i can't get support with my Free license :-(

Regards
Tom
