just something worth mentioning with end of day light savings this past weekend. i got a backup message at 10 pm and then a second backup message at 11 pm last night.

perhaps something with how the backup engine has handled the time change?

Hello @Shawn

We haven't had any other reports regarding this but thank you for reporting so we can look into it. Was the backup scheduled to run the same hour as the time was about to change?

Hi,

I have the same "issue".
I assume that it only occurs once.

no, the backup is scheduled for 2300 and time change was at 0200. let's see what it does tonight.

I also have a duplicate backups being made, one minute difference between the two backups being generated.

Is this recurring or just happened once during the DST change?

This happens maybe twice a week for a little while now, since September I think.
I have two sites, each with a 3cx instance, and this happens at both of them, not always on the same day.

What PBX version are you running? You can see the exact build number on the Dashboard, under the Information column next to the licence version. For example 15.5.15502.6.
Are the backups scheduled? Are you backing up the systems on local disk, Google drive or FTP?

Both sites are Professional Perpetual 15.5.15502.6
Backups are scheduled, (with 'Full System Configuration', 'Include License Key Information & FQDN' and 'Call logs, Chats and Conference data' selected) daily with a backup rotation of 7.
Backup location is local (/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Backups) at both sites.

How far apart do the backups occur? Do you get any failed backup attempts email?

Backups have always successfully completed and it is always a minute or two between the duplicate backup. This is the same at both sites, I don't think the backup has ever failed.

The only scenario that comes in mind that might be causing this is if there is time drift on the machine so the backup gets triggered twice. You can check the logs for and see if you can spot events listed in a different order than the order they occurred.
I would recommend running apt-get update and then apt-get install ntp and see if that fixes the issue
