Hello -

I have a hosted instance of 3CX which we are trying to use the Auto Archive for the Call Recordings to our SFTP server, however i am getting the following error:

Recording archiving failed due to the following reason: Renci.SshNet.Common.SftpPermissionDeniedException: Permission denied at Renci.SshNet.Sftp.SftpSession.RequestMkDir(String path) at Renci.SshNet.SftpClient.CreateDirectory(String path) at _3cxFilesystemImplementations.SFTP.SftpFolder.CreateSubfolder(String name) at TcxRecordings.RecordingData.Archive(Boolean justUpload) at _3cxSystemService.AutoArchiving.DoArchiving(CancellationToken cancellationToken)

I have manually Logged into this SFTP server using WinSCP, created a directory and manually placed an audio file so I know the server is working.

Can anyone offer some advice on this or if anyone has successfully done this on a Hosted by 3CX instance able to offer some instructions on how they got it working?

All on a Hosted by 3CX server -
18.0 Update 8 (Build 906)Version
Enterprise licence

Hi @Chris_Brown_IMS may I know what SFTP server are you using?

Is it a Linux machine with SFTP server installed hosted by you or are you using services such as AWS S3 buckets or Azure Blob storage?

Please check on the SFTP that you have given all the permissions to the folder used for archiving the recordings, so the pbx can execute any task on that folder.

For example:

Is SFTP to Azure blob storage supported for 3CX backups?

No, is not supported

  • Note: The below SFTP services are not supported:
  1. Amazon S3 buckets
  2. AWS Transfer for SFTP managed service
  3. MS Azure Blob Storage
This is mentioned here

Any idea if there are plans to support it soon?

Hello - To confirm this is all working now - need to ensure to input the full file path (including the /data/ folder they neglected to tell me existed :)

Hi Chris, I'm trying to do the same with the recording archives to an azure blob with sftp, can you put up a guide or some screenshots (redacted of course).

and 3cx, you need to support this. people want to put 3cx in azure. blob with SFTP is the most efficient and cheapest way to do this.
