Has anyone tried to export 3CX CDR data to an Amazon AWS cloud VM? We would like to export the 3cx data to a dedicated AWS cloud VM where we then connect a reporting system via API. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

If the VMs are in the same VPC, you should be able to use either the active or passive CDR type.

One sends the data via TCP. The other just listens for a UDP connection and sends the data there.

Otherwise, @VoIPTools has an excellent data exporter plugin that can help. They also have MANY modules custom built for 3CX.

Thanks, I read that in the documentation already. For this to work, we need a CDR Server/Client of some sorts. What would that be or how does the CDR Server look like?

Just to clarify: 3CX > export CDR data to CDR Server (AWS) > API interface to Reporting Server

Thanks

3CX is the lowest cost / per value PBX phone system I have found. It can be installed on Amazon lightsail or other cloud hosting providers. The cost is about $250 per year for line up to 13 lines. You will also need to pay for hosting. Amazon lightsail comes in at about $5 per month.
