3cx experiences?

Hi All,

looking to do an in-house deployment of 3CX replacing our ancient-old Avaya system, and looking to put it out across approximately 80 users at the end goal.

What have been the key benefits for day-to-day users, i like the virtualization aspect as well as the lengthy list of features but what are the key ones that really make 3CX for users? Have there been any drawbacks, it won't change our opinion on the system but something to look out for when setting up?

We're going to start with a really simple test bed of a couple of extensions and then grow it out exponentially.

We came from Vertical Wave IP 500 system - This system needed 2 additional VMs setting up purely for mobile app and web client. It also needed an SBC at the cost of £400+ so we could use SIP trunks. Not to mention all the additional licenses required for each bit and also the Server 2008 OS it ran on. The app was awful, calls would always fail, one way audio and it got to the point where we just didnt use the app becuase we knew it didnt work.

We moved to 3CX - I've installed it every which way but currently for us it runs as a VM, Debian ISO using 2GB RAM. No additional this, that or the other and the mobile app / web client works beautifully.
Nice GUI's, easy to use, easy to administer. Obviously if you're going to have remote sites you will just stick an SBC at each location (or use a VPN).

We came onboard in v14 and the features list has grown a lot.

What I like about 3CX is that it isnt stuck in time. There are always updates to better improve the system and not no mention the support ;-)

The best feature is its all software on the back end. It can be all software on the front end too Flexibility in operating system and location where its hosted. Its always updated, works with many phone brands and it comes with web meeting for each user.
