3CX Extension to External PBX (Grandstream UCM)

Hello All,

RE: 3CX PRO/Version 20.0

I can setup my SIP Trunk in 3CX, but I'm failing to locate in these forums how to dial from 3CX to my remote Grandstream UCM6202.
-I'd like to go extension to extension (video to video), e.g., 3CX extension to external PBX (UCM6202);
-I tried 3CX years ago, unfortunately never got it to work, so I'm circling back and trying to get this older UCM to work.

Actually, what I'm really after is site-to-site extension to extension:
I'd like at one site to use 3CX extension to the other site w/Grandstream UCM6202 (hoping extensions I setup in 3CX can be added to Grandstream's extension's), or a way they can see each other.
-Not sure if this is a 'linked option' or 'a bridged' setup, or...

If there are PDF's on this site I can use here that would be great.
-Not sure, maybe my issue is nomenclature, I just don't know what this option is called.
(If I can find on this site what I'm trying to do I can certainly follow a PDF how-to's.

You can link 3CX and the UCM system using a Master Bridge setup. Here is the step-by-step process:

1. 3CX Master Bridge: Go into 3CX and create a Master Bridge. Take note of the bridge extension number and password it generates.
2. UCM SIP Trunk: On the UCM system, create a register-based SIP trunk. Enter the 3CX bridge extension and password to register the trunk.
3. Outbound Routing: Back in 3CX, set up an Outbound Rule (using a prefix or digit length trigger) and assign the Master Bridge as the route to the UCM.

Please note that this setup strictly handles audio calls, extension-to-extension dialing between the two systems without needing standard SIP trunks or assigning individual DIDs.. Advanced features like presence, BLF sync, or full 3CX-to-3CX native tools are not supported.

I think that this is the first time in a long while that I've seen someone from 3CX actually provide information on bridging to a non-3CX PBX.
They used to actually have a web page explaining how to do this to an Asterisk PBX, but in recent years have inferred that it is not (officially) supported, even though it does work for, at least, basic functions.

There can be issues with things like Caller ID, depending on what you are trying to do, especially when routing calls outbound, at one end.
It is probably that inconsistent functionality, and the trouble tickets it could generate, that has caused the reluctance to suggest this option.
