I need to configure 3cx in the following way :

When someone calls , a voice message is prompted sayng " the operators will answer..."
After the voice prompt the caller hears a music while waintg an operator answer

I can do the voice prompt setting an IVR
How can I make the caller listen music and not ringing while witing for the operator ? Being a free edition (standard 4SC ) I don't have queues. Is there another way to do this ?

Thanks in advance

Probably best (other than using an IVR) to use a queue with an intro prompt.

The FREE is called the standard now, but I think it should still include this setting although not specifically stated on here:https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/

Failing that use an IVR/Digital receptionist.

Sadly the queues are no more part of the free edition. In fact i had free editions in production environments with queues in the dialplan. Since January the queue menu disappeared and the queues in it disappeared too . Even the audio file has been deleted.

Hi @software12

You need queues for this. Call Queuing from V16 onwards requires a Pro/Ent license.

Queue are bests and I suggest you to use them and a pro licence.

There is some tricky way to do a similar thing. Use IVR set to 1 second only, and put destination if no answer to ring group. This way music on hold is played for caller during ring group ;)

and to make ring group let customer wait if all agents are busy (and don't go directly to destination of no answer) you can use the workaround I describe here.

But as I said this is not clean at all and queues and pro licence is the way of doing.
