I have a customer who wanted to go for professional and enterprise version. But after checking free plans for one year on 3CX Pricing. He like to try 3CX enterprise for 1 Year. I have installed the instance on hosted by 3CX. Now I am trying to allocate a recording space for the client but he isn't getting any. Please suggest what can be done.

This is creating lot of confusions as In free enterprise annual it is not giving recordings, Reports and Chatlogs options. Now customer thinks I am blocking something to make money :( please help asap.

Once you upgrade to Enterprise, you should go to Dashboard and click the refresh icon next to the license key.

It will load the new features, then just refresh the page. Chat logs are enabled on the Dashboard by the way.

As for recording space, I am unsure whether the free upgrade also gives the Hosted instance with recording space. NickD will be able to tell you for sure.

Dear Fred

I appreciate the quick response but I seems to have followed everything what you just shared. My problem is I have 2 instance one is self host and another one is hosted by 3CX both are free enterprise for one year and we have feature missing as promised on pricing page. So I really need some help someone from 3CX itself.

Thanks for your help :)

As @Frederick Marcoux said, once you click the refresh icon next to the License Key all features of Enterprise Edition will take place.

Regarding the recording space, you still have the Trial specs as the free upgrade gives you only the features of the Enterprise subscription.

Are the two instances running the same license? If so, this will cause problems.

Dear Alexis

Thank you for getting back to me.

Problem is I tried explaining the same to the customer but currently he is adamant on information provided on 3CX pricing page,
https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/

If you see it has all the checks on enterprise and professional and customer is assuming with Free Enterprise it enables the complete features of ENTERPRISE License

I have followed every step as mentioned above. and it shows enterprise but client need recordings and reporting.

Reports are under the Reporting menu. They should be there.

As for recording space, as @AlexisV mentionned, you get the features but the Hosted Instance itself doesn't change as it is normally billed separately. You only have 1 free year at the basic level, even if you use the (once again) free upgrade to Pro/Enterprise.

The best would be to move the instance to a private Cloud or on-premise, then you have full control over the machine and quotas and such. Your license can still be used for that and it will retain its level for the first year until they need to renew and pay the annual license.

Another solution is to pay for the hosting and license and be done with it. Free stuff are never totally free...

Hello Fred

Thank you for assisting me however I created 2 instances with 2 different license keys for 2 customers one chose to pay the hosted with us so we gave him AWS Light Sail and upgraded the license to Enterprise Annual and customer got the recording space and all the features of enterprise but when we did the Free Enterprise Annual upgrade on hosted on 3CX it didn't add any space. Hence I end up moving both of my clients to self hosted and it works fine.

Thanks you all for your support

As said above, the FREE Enterprise upgrade for 1 year does NOT upgrade the hosting too.

Self-host is better for that. Hosted is for smaller/simpler installs.
