We are having issues with these emails going out and either being marked as spam or not even being delivered. It appears the mx record is not standard enough for some email hosting companies and so they reject the emails with the pdf attachments. But my question to the forum is:
What happens if the mail server for 3cx.net gets marked as a spammer? Then everyone using the free edition fax server will have their emails blocked until the domain is white listed and no one will ever know that the emails never arrived. So is there a way to go back and get the emails?
This particular customer is a Doctors office and gets hundreds of faxes a day.
So i guess my point is (and i know you will say pay up and get the paid version, which they will probably have to do) why does 3cx want this kind of liability by putting all these fax servers out of reach, where no one can manage and get the outbound faxes back. Seems to me, if you want to include the fax server then let everyone pick their own smtp server. Or just don't include it.
