Hi all,

I might be blind, but I was looking at how we can disable the Chat System Notification for our system.
Last week our License was starting to expire (14 days) and the system pushed out a group chat notification to all 10.000 of our end users stating that the 3CX Subscription is about to expire in 14 days and that the admins were already informed by email.(naming the email addresses in the notification.

13284

As you could imagine this was a big issue as most of these users decided to also send an email to the same addresses to "inform" us again.
This was not an ideal situation, and I highly question why the system would inform normal end-users of anything like this at all, but for now, I am just looking at how to disable this.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

This cannot be disabled, it's a built in failsafe (in addition to the email notifications the licence owner / partner receives) in case the system is left unattended so at least the users will be made aware before functionality is lost and they can contact their admin/partner.

We assume most admins or partners will take care of this well in advance and do not expect that users will normally see it unless there is good reason. This goes out to extensions that have the role of "Manager" in any group they might belong to.

Thanks, John, while I understand the Failsafe reasoning behind it I still think 14 days is way too early. We renewed the license three weeks ago and activated it yesterday, not aware that we would spam the user base for something that was well within the required renew time.

Woah you've got 10000 managers?

After your remark I checked the chat message again, it was sent to Users as well.
In the whole system we have 19 managers in total.
