Good Morning,
Our NFR hosted system and a few other hosted clients updated to Update 6 this morning outside of their update window. Is this something common? Why have an update window if it's not followed? A few of our on-premise clients still show update 6 in Beta, so I am confused on why the hosted system automatically updated.

Thank You,
Jason

I was just reading through https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/v18-update-6-release-candidate/ ...
"
  • StartUP users
    • Updated automatically
  • New/Current NFRs and Trials
    • Updated automatically"
and
"Commercial instances running on 3CX Hosted will be updated to U6 RC"

StartUP has been in alpha/beta since it was announced. The above doesn't mention NFR as hosted, but our self-hosted didn't update. Seem 3CX is updating all the hosted accounts this week.

Thank you for the information, that makes sense going RC, but why is it updating outside of the systems scheduled Automatic Update window?

3CX is going to have to answer that one. Seems like a limitation of hosted if they will be updating en masse, and/or updating to beta/RC versions...

Hi @Jason Aday

Automatic Updates will not apply a Beta or RC version to an installation. As per the blog post the update was pushed to all NFR and trial installations. Automatic Update window is not taken into account in this instance.
