Sneak preview! Update 6 has reached Release Candidate (RC) status, as 3CX Developers move to ‘Code-freeze’. With all QA test checks on Linux and Windows completed with thousands of customers worldwide, we’re now up and fully running in 3CX production. We’re confident it’s ready for you too!
In a nutshell, this very important RC brings you major redevelopment around headset integration functionality, some critical fixes, the previously unavailable Windows OS support and an updated list of Supported SIP Trunk Providers. More details below on what’s happening, when and how.
What’s New?
We’ve redeveloped headset integration functionality, so you’re able to integrate with any 3rd party headset types using standard WebHID commands. We’ve kept the Yealink WebHID driver separate as it has some additional functionality.
In user terms, it’s a simple choice of three headset integration options selected in the Web Client under Audio/Video tab:
- None
- Yealink
- Universal Headset Driver (WebHID - 3rd party supported)
Tweaks and Improvements
You’ll recall some issues needed fixing. Here’s what we’ve focused on to make the user experience even smoother:
- User audio issues when muting and unmuting during a WebMeeting are resolved.
- System emails generated for UK English and Portuguese locales are properly set.
- Caller IDs are removed from outbound Web Client chat SMS.
- Prompt paths on Windows are now specified correctly.
We’ve also moved some SIP Trunk Providers over to ‘Supported’ including:
