3cx phone number

I am looking for my 3cx phone number to provide to people so they can call me from their cell phones while they are away from their computer (for example: they are working in the field and don't have computer access).

I called my phone from the client and called the number displayed back and didn't have any luck. I am also unable to find any documentation about this.

I'd appreciate any help. I am coming from SKYPE and this software is new to me.

If the number you called, was not simply a 3CX extension number, then it suggests you may already have a trunk for calls to the public network. If this is the case, then it may be an issue of incoming calls not being routed correctly in 3CX. Was the number you called, the "number displayed back", a number that you are paying a SIP provider for?

You may need to provide a bit more information about your set up.

Since you are new to 3CX i would recommend going through the academy section as it contains a lot of useful information regarding how to setup and maintain a 3CX system. Also the admin and user guide are a great source of information.
